A bit of a waste, perhaps, but I don't think Sanji would sit idly by and let a friend get smashed, even if they could take it. |

We decided to start a campaing at level 12 because low levels are boring. One of the PCs (a human barbarian that hated orcs) saw a bunch of orc thieves about to attack a beggar. He ran as fast as he could to save him, but they were too far away. Turn out that said beggar was my character, a Sacred Fist (he was dressed like that to keep a low profile), and didn't actually needed help to teach a lesson to a bunch of mooks. |

The Cleric of the group was separated from the others by a small cave in and trapped in a room full of various undead. The fighter moved the blockage and the party Mage burst into the room and immediately cast one of his only uses of fireball to kill some of the Undead. Then the Cleric used turn undead and rolled high enough to completely incapacitate the Undead. The Mage was a bit sad he wasted one of his only fireball spells on an encounter his friends easily could have handled. He deeply regretted that come boss battle |

In the first session of an Exalted game with a whole group of folks who had never played before, a team of three Lunars (pirate-hunters) were sailing a ship around the West. (Heh. how appropriate for here) They were on their way to town to resupply and enjoy the spoils of victory, when they found some Lintha (demon-blooded pirates) harassing an old drunk who had been asleep on the beach. Naturally, two of the three wanted to help him, and the third wanted to have fun fighting Lintha. There was a brief fight, where most of the mooks were easily defeated, but the captain of the Lintha turned out to be a bit tougher. |
