A good gaming group isn't a gathering of strangers who go on wacky imaginary hijinks, they're friends who have fun together. People who do things for each other. |

I remember getting a pack of Tarot cards for Christmas from one of my gaming friends. I learned to tell fortunes from it and it got me drinks and girls. In a way, that deck touched more than my heart. ;-) |

When we finally got to the very definitely final boss, our GM had a gift for us. He'd gotten us each a pair of d10s in the game's unofficial colors. Black and purple, with gold numbers. Like, even though the story's over, he wanted us to have something to remember it by. |

As someone who started out gaming in public, I have to say that a group of strangers can sometimes develop into that. |

Sometimes, you just get the perfect gift, you weren't expecting it, and it shows just how much your friends and family know and care about you, and it is beautiful. |

DragonTrainer, I'm disappointed in you. It's December 25th, and you failed to make some sort of joke about MERRY Christmas. |

We had a Shadowrun campaign going during college, meeting each weekend for eight hours or so. Right after Thanksgiving break, we all came back and had bought presents for each other, without knowing anyone else had the same idea. There were dice with unique animals for their 1 pip, hard plastic solo cup goblets, and German chocolates. Basically the greatest campaign ever. |

Best Christmas gift I can recall players getting was in Exalted. They got something called a mobile titan carrier, I think. It was basically an aircraft carrier on wheels that housed their giant robot suits which could combine a la vandread. |

that sounds like the type of thing that would happen in the Mech campaign I keep mentioning |

Well, it was Exalted, so that,s not unusual. Hell, I can dual wield chainsaw swords made of radiant golden sunlight at level one. |
