i don't know about the giant but it is said that fishman gene can manifest a few generations down the line, maybe it applie to human who are part fishmen, too.

That is actually my theory for the ridiculously tall humans and the fact that some people randomly have attributes like horns. Fishmens can come in many size and shape depending on their type, if they could pass thoses traits to their descendant, that would explain many things.

That is what is called a munchkin,right?
