One of the greatest threats in a campaign may not be the large monsters, but ill preparation for the environment you're adventuring in. If you're adventuring in a snowy climate, bring lots of warm blankets and clothes. If you're setting off for the desert, be sure to wear the proper attire and take lots of fresh drinkable water with you. If you're going to set sail and expect to be surrounded by salt water for days on end, stock up on lots and lots of food, including vitamin C so you don't get scurvy. After all, what's more dangerous than facing a bunch of Godzilla-sized dragons? Facing a bunch of Godzilla-sized dragons after having your HP chipped away by starvation, thirst, and frostbite/sunstroke. ^_^

If you don't want to deal with any of that, just make sure one of your party members is a Cleric (or maybe a Druid). :p

But those are heeavy..! I always have winter blankets and some kind of cookware, though. Blankets can be turned into lootsacks with a little innovation...
Elf cleric in one game I ran took proficiency wifh cookware. I put a +3 dutch oven in the crypt of the next dungeon just for her, but they never found it.

You're right. Clerics can be VERY heavy, especially if they are wearing any kind of armour.

Ah yes, preparation for the environment in which you're adventuring. Y'know, like eating a fruit that makes you UNABLE TO SWIM in an OCEANIC CAMPAIGN
