I'm so sorry actors. You're probably fine fellows. But this show is not one suited to live action.

Normally, I'd agree, but... it seems like Oda himself has a small hand in it. At the very least, he had a say in casting and they went with his request for Mackenyu to play as Zoro. If you look up Mackenyu, you can see why. :p

Edit: In fact, look up all of them. I really think they can pull off the personalities of their characters, at the very least.

Well, I might be pleasantly surprised... but I feel like the cartoonish abilities will be hard to pull off well in live action. After all, Luffy is a rubber man. Though I suppose characters like that have been pulled off in live action to varying levels before.

It's possible to make it look god. Just not on the budget a Japanese production seems to be capable of.

I mean, from what leaks we’ve seen, it’s looking pretty good so far. They’ve physically built Shank’s ship and will probably make the Merry as well. It is One Piece after all, so I hope they got the budget they need

Good thing it's being bankrolled by Netflix with the highest budget per episode of any live-action TV show in history, then.

Early one piece is easy enough .Luffy can be handled fairly easily with a bit of cg and camera work. Almost everyone else is are just normal people.

Really the test is if they can make fishmen look good
