Can confirm, a paladin character of mine once had the option of escaping a crumbling city wall by either running to a safer spot or jumping onto the back of the T-Rex that had smashed through. Naturally I chose the latter option and managed about 20 damage of basic attacks before it finally shook me off. Totally worth it even if I got stepped on afterwards while prone.

Foolish dungeon master. When player sees dinosaur, player must ride dinosaur. This is the law of the PC.
