This brings us to the conclusion of the Whiskey Peak Arc! I can't believe this one arc took an entire year to complete. o_O"

This one was a bit more challenging to write than usual, probably because I had to do quite a bit of... research. >_>

Anyways, I hope you still enjoyed this arc in spite of all the... uncomfortable bits. As always, thank you for sticking with me for all this time. ^_^

Normal updates are scheduled to resume on April 2, 2021. The next arc will be the Little Garden Arc! XD

Can I just say that I love how this arc was written. It handled a very sensitive topic with care and respect, but also made sure to maintain what made this webcomic appealing in the first place and such. While parts of this arc has been uncomfortable, I think of that as a positive, since this is an unconfortable topic, and fiction like this allows us to see it from a more safe perspective, both how something like this can take place, our own feelings toward this topic. Looking forward to Little Garden.

Basically the same thoughts here. Being uncomfortable for a reason can be a good thing. And while I hate the guy, I thought he was well enough written as a character/person. Always pushing further to see how far he could go, but then stepping back within reason to make people doubt whether he's all that bad again. Something to watch out for, really.

A very well written arc, DT.
Hope you get a chance to rest between now and April.
Good to see everyone, save perhaps Rika herself, is aware of the situation.

In spite of?! Because of all the background drama working so well, I enjoyed it much more than the source material! For me Whiskey Peak was a completely forgettable part of One Piece, and you made it one of the best arcs in your comic to date. Good job! Keep it coming.

Amen to this. I enjoyed Jayden for the same reasons I enjoy Umbridge. They're designed to be hated, but they're WELL DESIGNED.

It's interesting, I just really hope this guy doesn't stick around for all of Alabasta.
