Spoiler for anyone who is actually reading this comic first instead of just reading or watching One Piece (why you do that XP?).

So... how will this work out? We get a Luke/Corey fight over it later? Did Igaram make a comeback just because Corey ticked off the DM at some point? Does either of them actually win, or will the 3.5 version be Igaram actually getting killed off, but being revived in some manner so technically neither Luke nor Corey won the bet?

To answer your first, parenthetical, question: Because I only have enough time in my life for one ridiculously long seafaring voyage featuring an enormous cast of characters with eccentric designs and unique abilities, and I still haven't caught up on Hunter x Hunter.

Hunter X Hunter isn't that long as shonen anime go. Not that I'm saying ~150 episodes is short.

In response to the original questions, I imagine a lot of stuff in One Piece will involve resurrection magic, since it's already been used in Grand Line 3.5

Uh... Pablo, that didn't actually answer my joke question. XD

1) Hunter x Hunter isn't ridiculously long. The manga has been around about as long as One Piece's, but the series is nicknamed Hiatus x Hiatus for a reason. :(

2) While HxH does feature an enormous cast of characters with eccentric designs and unique abilities, it isn't about one ridiculously long seafaring voyage. If you know the first two is true, you're far enough in HxH to know that the last bit isn't.

3) I'm sure DragonTrainer is thrilled to have you as a reader, but I - another guy just reading this - is confused as what attracted you to a screen cap comic built around an anime you've never seen. I'm sure there is a reason, but if you're not in a minority... now I feel bad that so many are having One Piece spoiled for them. XP

As someone who also hasn't watched one piece, I suppose I just like dnd/tabletop screencap comics. I tried watching one piece after getting into this comic but it's not my thing.

Similarly I liked the starwars one without having seen the prequels and the lord of the rings one without having seen all three of the lotr movies.

Thanks for answering!

I realize such people exist, and now I wonder if they are in the minority (as I assumed). I mean, I myself am odd as far as readers of this comic go. I've read and/or watched a good deal of One Piece: I'm current with the anime, but only have read stretches of the manga.

However, I've never played Pathfinder or D&D 3.5. I've played a little bit of regular 3e, but the bulk of my tabletop RPG experience is GURPS, with good amounts of WEG Star Wars and some Old World of Darkness. Oh, and just a tiny, tiny hint of Hackmaster, which ran on a modified form of AD&D.

One thing I wonder is... how careful do you expect others to be with spoilers?

I don't personally mind spoilers on one piece, given that I have no intention of reading or watching one piece itself. But I could see someone reading the comic and wanting to see one piece for themselves, especially since I tried doing that myself, and I'd bet someone who's thinking about or in the process of watching one piece would appreciate some warning for spoilers.

I completely understand someone not wanting spoilers, but the question is what does someone expect of others when discussing One Piece here.

One Piece is a 23 year old series as manga (a few years younger as an anime). One Piece is the best selling manga globally. In terms of comics, my understanding is that it is either the second or third highest selling (for lifetime sales). Superman and Batman have it beat. Other major western superheroes like Spider-Man and the X-Men have already been surpassed.

Another way of putting it is that I haven't watched most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films from the last few years. I am not going to be surprised if I run into spoilers under an Avengers screen-cap campaign comic for Avengers: Infinity War. It has been two years, and while someone posting a spoiler warning for me is nice, it can get annoying for all the other people in the discussion. XD

Then again, I have a friend who insists on watching One Piece only through the Funimation dub. We haven't talked much lately for other reasons, but it was really hard discussing One Piece because of stuff that was old news to you but spoilers for him... or discussing old stuff that might be seen in a new light due to where the story went.

I'm personally here because i read OP and despitz havingnno familiarity with D&D or other Pen & Paper RPGs.
And yet it is strangely satisfaying to see how One Piece in the form of a party played D&D.

Poor Igaram

Why did Zoro raise even more higher the flag? Sure, Igaram character had raised a high 'flag' with his interpretation, his martyrdom, the goodbye, and the plan... But Zoro raised the 'flag' even higher just to give Lady Luck another chance to do worse
