I do like he seems to be genuinely an asshole and not just someone the author says is an asshole while doing fairly trivial stuff. Pulling off real asshole characters is a lot more difficult than you'd think.
TO BE FAIR. In the mans defense here, from what he's seen, I can understand the belief that he GENUINELY thinks that Gordon's basically pulling a thing here to make Zoro seem really strong. That's not the CASE, of course, but I could see how one might believe that given the situation, what with all of the party...most of the party disabled, and him SPECIFICALLY having a way out of that. It does seem like the Gordon PLANNED that to occur. But yeah mans' still a prick but THAT part I understand the logic of.
It's not 100% false either. Gordon does seem to build genuinely difficult fights (though he's very good at balancing them right, or is using creation-rules that are way better than the default 3.5 stuff, since he's had few of those 'oops, didn't realize it was that strong' moments). But the rest of the time, he does seem to allow for 'rule of funny' and 'rule of cool' to some extent. The characters, other than Usopp, are allowed to be awesome. He doesn't, most of the time, try to undercut it or act annoyed at the 'lucky streaks' the players get sometimes. I genuinely think that in a 'tournament setting', where the GM's encouraged to be unbiased and predictable (in the sense of following the rules with a consistent interpretation, regardless of who's playing) instead of leading the group through a fun game, Zoro would be less impressive.
Really the issue, Rather than him assuming that. Is that he isn't thinking that "maybe Gordon is doing that on purpose" or wonder "how good is actually that Corry guy?"
He's like "Pff, obviously the GM is trying us think that he is that good. And I know it better than the people who have been playing with him for a while because I'm more perceptive than all of them."

Welcome to the party. We have shrimp cocktail. Only a few left, though; I'm a bit addicted.

The question is though: Does this "Jordon" fellow have anything to do with Gordon?

It's been a literal eternity since I caught up on this comic, but nice to see ya'll again, I kinda picked back up during Loguetown.
Also, Jayden's a dick. I can't wait for his comeuppance.
