Sure, some meta gaming is acceptable, and sometimes it's fine, but that's something that usually develops at a table over time, so you know exactly what type the DM is ok with and what's accepted.

I don't hate the guy. I had worse players. I even had worse GMs.

Yeah, at least he is capable of SOME level of adaptability, if the last panel is any indication.

He's still pretty bad though and will probably need one heck of a redemption arc to fit in as a Strawhat.
