Nat would be Orihime, Luke would be Shunsui Kyoraku, DM would (originally) be Byakuya Kuchiki, Phil would be Chad, Rika would be Momo or Rukia, and Gordon would be Ikkaku, Renji, or Kisuke Urahara.
I... have no clue. ^^' Keeping track of what is and isn't an established thing in universe is getting beyond me and for a guy calling himself "Otaku", I can be a bit fussy or odd when it comes to what shows I've seen and what I like.
Both "You like that common drivel!" and "What, you don't like that masterpiece?" XD In other words, I know of Bleach but it wasn't for me and so I don't have a clue who any of those characters actually are. XD
Rurouni Kenshin as Sanosuke.
Sure at first glance it might not seem like the kind of character someone who just aim to make the character with the biggest numbers would build since he is not the strongest, but it actually fit well with Zoro.
Never stay down before the fight is over, even when injured.
Standard aproach to a fight is to attack head-on and punch.
Always ready for a fight.
Others options includes Hiei, Nataku, Gaoh, maybe Ikki, some version of Wolverine if they're making a X-Men campaign, Heiwajima Shizuo, Lu-Bu, Bass.Exe etc...
Of course that's assuming the campaign mentioned here is based on something, AND he accept to take part in it.
Rurouni Kenshin would work very well. Bonnie could be playing one of the more conflicted or drama oriented character. Now Sano appear rather early, so this would mean the game have been started recently.
And if indeed based on something, it could be on something other than a anime, like a movie or game.
Also, let me try: In order... Yu Yu Hakusho, Houshin Engi, Saint Seiya, X-men (of course), Durarara, Dynasty Warrior or Souten Koro or another of the many media based on Romance of the Three Kindom where Lu-Bu is a powerhouse, and Rockman.Exe/MegaMan Battle Network (though i'd see him more as Protoman.exe). I'm only missing Gaoh, i must have heard the name somewhere, but i don't know where right now.
A houshin engi reference now?!
Nataku would make perfect sense for Cory. Though I guess if a Houshin campaign existed, i'd want Gordon to play Taikoubou. I don't know who Luke would be.
Protoman exe would make sense with his stoic demeanor i suppose.

Is the game going to be Bleach and is Cory going to build Kenpachi?
Or maybe Negima and he’s gonna show up as Jack “Motherfucking” Rakan?
Or Dr Stone where he brings in Tsukasa?
Taking all bets here folks

I put a regrettable amount of thought into this

You're forgetting the first law of campaign comics: if another game is mentioned, it is always another RL series.

Except GL3.5E in particular has made several mentions to “noodle incident” campaigns without any comic of their own.

In a Houshin /Soul Hunter campaign, Corry as Nataku is the clear choice, but i could see Gordon as either Youzen or Taikoubou.
