Loot denial is a surefire way to piss off your party if you go about it the wrong way, anyone have a story about when your party thought they'd get a cool item but ended up not being able to keep it? |

Another option is to make an item awesome for the boss, its original user... And completely useless for the players. Like that "Last Ditch Ring" used by a lich in a game I played. Having an item that allows you to instantly cast a spell while you die isn't exactly useful when you don't intend to die to begin with. |

Yeah most spells aren't worth 20,000 gold just to get an extra cast of them. |

I like the way Critical Role handles resurrection a lot. You need to make a DC 10 roll, no modifiers, when the resurrection spell is cast, to come back from the dead, and the number of times you've been brought back already increases the DC by 1 each. Some extra house rules thrown in for potentially lowering the DC, and you have a system that usually still allows for players to come back, but also allows the much needed-fear of death being permanent. |

After all that, he did never re-appear in the manga... Anyone think he could appear in a future? |

Just because Oda never forget, don't mean he plans to reintroduce Nezumi, Nezumi is a weakling coward East Blue marine, it's unlikely he will be relevant to the story. |

If I recall correctly don't a few of the marines from early on reappear as minor characters way down the line? |

Coby and Helmeppo reappear at the end of the Water Seven arc. Fullbody and Django make a few appearances as part of Hina's crew. That's about it, as far as I can remember. |

@garralis that does'nt mean he "plans" to, that just means "you never know with him". |

Far as I know, he reappeared once in the anime, while the Straw Hats were on their way to Loguetown, and that was simply to show him making Luffy's bounty. I don't remember if that happened in the manga, though. |
