In most games I can see the Gm pulling this being something that will piss everyone off. Maybe because they didn't expect them to beat the evil bad just yet and don't want them to have all the high level stuff he has that the players know he has. In this setting it's just more exp for them. "Pathetic marines trying to take our money? Screw it. Killing them all." Which by the way is the complete and only reason my character, should I ever play DnD, is what he is. Every character has a breaking point where they just want to go on a violent rampage and while not that extreme if my character can't vent those frustrations that may build up due to something stupid like a alignment then I need a better alignment. |

Do you want to piss players off? Steal the stuff they rightfully stolen. |

Just had a game where me and my 2 companions were about to still a giant slab of gold when a giant came in(we're level 2 at that point). Needless to say we decided against trying to steal from a giant that could 1 shot us. |

There are many ways to kill giants if Giant of colossus is true, you could even defeat him from inside even if you are lvl 2. Or just wait until the giant is not looking or go away, after all you are like ants for him, right? |

used it once, but not really to steal their stuff, but to set them up for the next bad guy. |
