"Oh, silly Luke"

Sometimes you're on a roll, sometimes your enemy gets caught up in the heat of battle, and sometimes the DM decides a good scene is better than metagaming a little to make the fight more even...

Tell a story about a time your DM didn't do something to negate your powers, because it made the fight that much cooler.

Well, I was the DM for a Deathwatch game, and there was a climactic confrontation with another Deathwatch kill-team that was actually Alpha Legion infiltrators because we liked to get silly with the lore. At one point, the Assault Marine tackled one of the Alpha Legion troops off a cliff and they both plummeted to earth.

Technically, his jump pack was fried from a melta shot earlier. But I ultimately decided that it had just enough to let him avoid death on impact, instead propelling him back to the fight while the Alpha Legionnaire died a horrible death thanks to Fantasy Flight Falling Damage (tm). The jump pack was fucked after that, though, I made up some excuse about burning out the thrusters in the process.

So we actually didn't get to this point but there's the prestige class "warshaper". It allows you to form natural weapons of appropriate size starting at 2nd level. Now RAW, it doesn't give a max on the natural weapons made at once so you can make an infinite number of things that give you extra attacks on one turn and then rip your foe to shreds the next. My DM when I explained this to him (because he really likes that kind of stupid stuff) said he'd allow me to do that once. Unfortunately we lost focus on the campaign and swapped to something else before we got to that point but it was still a really fun idea.

First level sorry. I think 2nd is stretchy limbs...

I suppose it's only heavily implied that you only get one weapon.
However, the biggest limiting by-the-rules factor is that it takes a move action to activate, which means you'd have to spend many rounds to get many natural attacks, and could only use one until the final round.

If I was running a campaign where a player managed to pull off a rules legal cheese loop to get full bludgeoning immunity, I'd TOTALLY have careless villians not know this and try their best attacks even if they were bludgeoning. However if they were ever to become a recurring villian they'd totally know this and tell any new minions they managed to recruit for their revenge scheme.

The best DMs are the ones that let you use what you're built for as often as throwing you for a loop.

...Either Luke or Cory are going to be looting that Sash of Giant Strength. I don't remember Arlong's clothes getting damaged, so that's not even a prediction. Its just a fact.

I feel like it's gonna be Cory- sure, he's part fishman, but the sheer level of increase in his abilities (considering he's probably just going to be taking levels of Swordsman in the future) suggests magic items.

I'm guessing Cory as well, given Zoro's typical style of dress. It may also be a useful plot point in the next story arc.

I hate that I can't delete double posts.

Why not?

I don't want to make a post just to delete it, or risk accidentally deleting one I want to keep, but at least on a desktop there should be an option under your own posts to delete them.

Unless you're on a Guest account and not actually signed in via Comic Fury. I recommend actually joining for simple features like these. Not every member has to be an actual creator. ;)

"Role play vs Logic"

I guess you COULD interpret this as Arlong's berserking being played up where he's so angry he forgot that wouldn't injure Luffy. He does adjust tactics quickly though.
