"*Knowing that everyone is relying on you...."

It fills him with determination.

...Well, for a given definition of relying.

I actually do know how much...as in fact, I might want it even more...as I'm pretty sure I am one of the VERY few people who read this regularly who didn't watch One Piece passed the first few episodes or catching it on occasion...so hurry up, time! Pretty Pleeeeeassseeee! Make it be the next comic day!

For the record you do know that One Piece is still available to watch over at Crunchyroll, right?

Well, so long as you do subtitles or speak Japanese. I don't do the latter but I've gotten so used to the former over the years (plus lost some hearing...) that for me such a requirement is a non-issue. I mean I watch most English language stuff with subtitles as well by now. =P If it is a deal breaker for you, I understand.

If you snag a guest pass, you can even binge watch without ads. One Piece is an odd series; recap episodes tend to be annoying when binge watching (tiny bits of new content between flashbacks), but the filler arcs in One Piece range from "typical animé filler" at worst to "Wait that isn't canon?" in the best moments. :)

It's also available at Onepieceofficial.com (or Officialonepiece.com, not sure which) from the company. With fewer commercials than Crunchyroll.

I can't imagine that that one is region locked.

Ah, good point Belzera. Not trying to ignore the places where it is not available so readily. >.>

Not so much; I generally only watch japanese with subtitles unless I REALLY like the dub voices better than the japanese ones. My main issue is I don't exactly have the interest to really devote my time to binge watching when thus far, from the episodes I HAVE seen of One Piece; I like Dragon Trainer's version better. It's far funnier, for me.

Rastaba that actually isn't a surprise.

Originally, One Piece was a bit slow getting good. I think the series was fortunate that it's then relative novelty kept early fans coming back time and again. General consensus among fans is that One Piece doesn't really get good until this story arc.

If that is too slow of a wind-up, I understand. I've never finished Dragon Ball Z for a similar reason. Though I currently am caught up to the Japanese animation (not the manga), I actually gave up on One Piece in the mid-2000s, then a few years ago gave it a chance again. Some of the story arcs are better in hindsight, I think. Regardless, as story arcs are often quite long, once you hit one for which you just don't care, it turns the series into a slog.

I still recommend giving it a chance, unless you're quite, quite busy.

I gotta say, I love how you represent the touching moments. Cory's slow familiarization with roleplaying mirroring ZOro being slow to open up. Nat's trauma with Arlong represented as trauma from past RP groups... now Phil coming into his own. It's really masterfully done. :D

I do honestly think this is the best Screencap comic out there. Darths and Droids might have the pedigree, Friendship is Dragons is perhaps the most creative with the source material, but this one does the best at finding the heart of things- it's shaping up to be fantastic drama as well as fitting the world very, very well.
