You know, from my experience, I can't honestly recall a time when a third party has actually been on my group's side. They're either a third faction or they act like they're on our side only to betray us to the villain.

There's a reason why people hire adventurers. The people in charge of protecting people for free can never be trusted! Especially when they're coming in a time of need!
Share a story about when the cavalry arrived, and things only got worse.
So there was this incursion by the forces of the far realm. The players were called as backup. When they arrived, they saw that the ones who had originally called for help were now warped and twisted monsters.
They decided they could not be trusted if the far realm had warped them so violently, so they killed everyone and everything, and sealed the portal.
In this kind of situation, either the newly arrived group is a bad news for you or is going to fail. 2nd option here.
They're certainely not going to just win and solve the problem in your place.
at best they can be of help in a difficult situation.

Just noticing but shouldn't the third and second to last speech bubbles be GM yellow. Also I'm excited to see how this part plays out.
