"Tell a Story: "Oh hell yes, we're having a fight""

Some players just get so damn bored of politics, character development, and, well, roleplaying.

Share a story about a time the GM was looking to move things along, but the players just wanted to shed some blood.

after a whole session of looking for a quest, exploring and politics. we walked into a tavern to get some rooms. where i promptly punched the biggest guy i could find in the face, yelled NON LETHAL to the party. and then we proceeded to have to biggest bar brawl i ever saw in game. complete with curtain swingin, chair throwing and this one guy who just kept drinking every turn.

then we were thrown in jail and a whole new part of the campaign started...

Once again I bring up the story of Dante, whose /introduction/, intended to be a standard police interview, ended up with the character perfoming suicide by cop because the player just wanted to be as much of a troll as possible.

I watched a character be out for blood. In a modern game, he did this by walking into a school cafeteria during lunch and snapping his own neck.

Being a... Werewolf, I think, he was pronounced dead, then several hours later, he regenerated, snuck out of the morgue, and returned to the school the next week to do it again. He did this because he was sick of the DM using two sessions to talk about magical politics, and how we were on the verge of a war, and we were there to avert it.

Dude made the politics too complicated, and we were getting bored. I was kinda dissapointed I didn't think of it first, but I have used the idea since.

I'm still rather proud of shooting the enemy mid-expository speech, with a semiautomatic anti-tank cannon, with a natural one in a d100 roll-under system.
A pity the quirks of the system let her/it dodge or block the volley effortlessly. The rest of the party was irritated with me, but the Emperor's Angels of Death do not talk to heretics, we shoot them. The Librarian in particular had a choice complaint about that line, being from a Dark Angels-descended Chapter, but a Tactical Sergeant alone among a Techmarine, Librarian, and Chaplain is bound to have a more elementary playbook when it comes to doctrine.

My little brother... Just, always. He once got so bored of the DM doing plot things that he punched our rogue in the face in order to start a massive street fight.

Every D&D session I've run! :D I have a player whose sole interest is murder and loot. He doesn't like social or intellectual engagements because he is more interested in the warrior fantasy. So unless it's important, I make sure to throw a little murder his way. So he doesn't kill anything important.

Oh, this is just going to be all of the feels when Usopp/Phil tries to keep them from giving up on the Merry/Rikka's character way on down the line.

I recently had a Sith Lord doing the "Join me and rule" thing to one of the players, an Ex-sith warrior...only to get interrupted by the quiet Zabrak tech jedi with "I force lightning him"

So that was a thing.
