This guest comic was created by Warlach572. His campaign comic Champions And Chocobos can be found here.

Author's notes:
"Ah, criminal enterprise and backstabbing, two things that fit right at home in Tabletop RPGs. And honestly, denying other players their cut is a dangerous idea. Wouldn't put it past some of the more crafty players though."

I have a question: What show/movie is being used for this comic's screencaps? It looks really interesting!

It's RWBY, a 2-season wonder (so far, the creator died recently but I think they're going to continue it) made by Rooster Teeth studio, and is the brainchild of our dearly beloved Monty Oum

I also forgot, it's legally available for free on the Rooster Teeth website (http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?sid=rwby&v=more), you can buy the boxset and OST if you like it

It's been confirmed it's continuing. Many of the voice actors have already tweeted about going into the studio to do recordings for S3.

You gotta watch RWBY, everybody, it's like a nonstop fanservice in (mostly, you pervs) every ways imaginable. Because that's pretty much what it is.

Although I strongly recommend for the newcomers to watch the serie's trailers first, since they are tied to the story (Red is a nice demo of the serie's style, White redeems pre-emptively the negative way the character is introduced within the story, Black is important backstory and Yellow is mostly for fun but still very canon).

They're also on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUBVPK8x-XMhCW2fW7ZYlD9MHjvmT8IGK

If you like fight scenes, watch it, and praise the memory of Monty Oum. Just try not to obsess over the animation errors that occur outside the fighting.

Ah, RWBY, where the weapons are as min-maxed as the characters, if not more so.

Picture the other players' reactions to Crocea Mors before and after seeing it in action.
"Just a sword and shield? No gun, no bells and whistles, nothing?"
"Wait, you did HOW much damage with that flurry?"

Oh man, now I'm picturing DM playing Neo. No dialogue, just describing action with an evil grin on her face.

I wish someone was doing a Rwby Campaign comic that would be amazing.
Also, four words for anyone who hasn't seen Rwby; High Calibur Sniper Scythe.

If no one's tackled it by the time I finish running my Dark Heresy game, I might give it a go. I was thinking of doing Titan AE first, though.

"Champions and Chocobos isn't dead?"

So is the guy who did this comic still working on his? Champions and Chocobos hasn't updated in months, and I'm sad, because it had potential.

So anyone else now imagining RWBY as a variant of Shadowrun?

I always figured it ran like Deathwatch, only without all the Space Marine organs.
Probably using the rules out of the Dark Heresy 'Daemon Hunter's Handbook' for playing Grey Knights, too; everyone is psychic (representing Aura from the show) and deals ridiculous damage to daemons (Grimm seem to be similar enough) while pulling off generally impossible feats. Just give everyone a single psychic power, probably custom, for their Semblance and homebrew some combi-weapons; voila, RWBY.
I've thought about this before.

It would also work as an optimized mid/high level martials-only 3.x campaign.

I actually made a system for RWBY, using the dice system from Feng Shui (a martial arts RPG, seriously it's just pure wish fulfillment look it up :D). Lots of fun

There is a bleachd20 classless conversion for RWBY already in existence. It works pretty well for playing in Remnant http://bleachd20.proboards.com
