It's hard to turn off those minmaxer tendencies once you've gone down that path, my old group will tell you that much. (So many 3rd party resources accidentally accessed...)

Yeah, my group uses so much third party stuff that when one of our dm's places a ban on stuff not in core and a few other books we're always like, "is this thing I always use core... no? Crap. Next thing... no? crap."

Geeze, yeah, I went through this once. It wasn't even 3rd party stuff, it was just like Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat in Pathfinder. Not core in that GM's decision. Was really annoying.

Sad Part of it is you get a much more balanced game if you allow everything BUT core and just drop requirements.

Yeah, surprisingly true. Some of the most broken, and weakest stuff is in Core. 3.5 and Pf. Losing Cleric/Wizard/Druid/Sorcerer really cuts out almost all T1 stuff.

Yeah i'm really bad at that and my art program doesn't have any sort of way of importing pre edited text.

edit delete reply

1st Jul 2015, 2:10 PM

If it can't import text as text, can it import images? You could type up all the text you wanted in some better program, snap a screenshot, import it, and chop that up.
...
What program are you using, though? Even MS Paint can import text.

Tsundere is an annoyance, thats why Corey and Luke thought it would be good to take as a flaw for free character points since it would be roleplay only.

I'd have thought tsundere would be a perk that grants Rage once per day

Uncontrolable rage only directed at friends or in social settings.

In exchange, you can trigger it for free against anything that hurts or threatens your object of affection. And if they were hurt, then it counts as using up your 1/day involuntary rage if it hadn't already been triggered.

"Story Time?"

Tell us a story about how another player had to justify your backstory when you couldn't, or vice versa.

Ah, my ascended ochre jelly prostitute. No, she didn't have a goo girl form, she was just a jelly blob hooker. The GM refused to even look at my backstory, and the session devolved into the guys going around the table and brainstorming ideas for her backstory.

Seriously, just a slime blessed by Eros, and uplifted into sapience... Right after he boned her.

Yeah, that's right, I had an ooze that was uplifted by injesting magical spunk.

I was really, really incoherrent, and by the time I got some sleep, it was about game time, and that sheet was all I had, so I presented it and acted like nothing was wrong.

I'm kind of concerned that I'm so used to your ridiculous stories that I don't even consider the possibility you could just be bullshitting us anymore. You could probably tell us the sky was green with purple tiger stripes and we wouldn't think "what the hell are you on about", just "what the hell did you do now".

Bah, what GM could have anything against a backstory that could have been based in Greek myth?

To be fair, I have played uplifted/ascended versions of nonsapient creatures before. Jellina did not make a lot of money, by the way. She sorta had a charisma cap of six.

the only time that we went full pervert party it turned out to be extremely overpowered.

Our masochist Boris became essentially immortal (he automatically stabilized at zero no matter how hard he got hit, and gain hit points as soon as he got stabilized, returning him to positive hitpoints) and absorbed any attack directed at any party member, with another feat that gave him an aoo if hit... yeah, he was broken to the point of being able to have been thought up by cory

and no one wanted to go within 30 feet of my pole dancing bard in a banana hammock armor, since doing so gave me free aoo and intimidation checks against everyone within my reach. I had reach 35... and a spear of spell storing, that unleashed grease upon hits... with pyrotechnics as an swift action...

a control based bdsm mage who specialized in edvards black tentacle and a bad touch cleric named Olga (with remove disease as a Favored spell) eventually turned us into the most feared traveling bordello in the realm...

Loved this.
I'm just glad I wasn't reading it at work. Luke's and Corey's builds were funny enough on their own, but I lost it at the last panel. I'd love to know HER background :-D

In cannon she was Killed in a Lab accident, Animated by her Mad scientist father, Posessed by an elder evil, Brainwashed by a different Elder Evil, Used as a guinea pig for numerous "science" experiments, Kidnapped by an evil circuis and used as a key for summoning at least 2 apocolapse lv entities.

There is that, but what really cracked me up was that this comes after Rika's complaint about Min/Maxed characters.
Hotaru HAD to take all that background options to get the power level she's at.
And I guess we've hereby proven that Sailor Moon is based on a RPG...

I expect Luke and Corey are going to be a little ticked off at being constantly upstaged by... whoever gets to play Usagi.

Also, Otemba should probably not count as a flaw (it just means tomboy for anyone who's wondering)
