I'd make one, but apparently, it's not so easy on a smart phone. Story time is about sharks. Or pandas.

I sorta have a story about a panda. It involves baleful polymorph, a zoo breeding program, and the decision to stay a panda until the baby was born. I was highly disappointed in her choice.

I wanted to see the magical hybrid bastard offspring of a panda and a troll. No matter the outcome, it would be fantastic.

Was she impregnated while she was still a panda? If so, it would have been a full panda either way. From my understanding, no more DNA is added during the incubation period so even if she change back during that period it wouldn't have made a difference.

That... That clarifies so many things.

And, considering Troll, the whole issue of 'different shaped birthing canals' wouldn't really be an issue at all, then.

Whoah.

Actually, the nutrients and hormones of the mother have a lot of influence on he development of the baby; this and the issue of troll blood, residual magic, etc.
Probably, it would result in a souped-up panda baby. Then you could teach it whatever the troll equivalent to kung-fu is.

Aren't half-dragons the offspring of dragons Polymorphed into humanoids?

Draconic blood's specifically magical, though.
Like, dragons can do magic because they're dragons, and kobolds with more 'dragon' in their blood get all sort of fun benefits.
Troll-blood might also work, but it would quite likely not work with something like a half-bear or whatever.

There was a Troll-blooded feat in 3.5, just granted regeneration and caused fatigue in sunlight?

Something like that.

Anyway, pretty sure dragons use a different magic to turn humanoid rather than Polymorph.

...does the time my ranger bred a race of sharks that swam through the air and trained them to jump over the bad guys as a distraction (non-combat was the only way I could get it past the DM) count?

As a DM I once pitted my party against a half dragon shark zombie. In the middle of a forest with no salt water for hundreds of miles.

They did a moment of "Half Dragon shark Zombie? Well okay than" and proceeded to murder it like they murder everything they come across.

Without a catch...? Luke did you miss the part where he was inside the shark's mouth and crashed into the restaurant? How does that not qualify as "a catch"?

Because it's DM. It's too tame for it to count as a catch.
