Had one a while ago where I saw a rope, fifty feet up, with a gold piece at the top, in a crow's nest, on the end of a five foot long, 6x6" square wooden beam. The DM said I should roll to see if I climb up and take the gold piece. |

I asked my DM if I could simply not roll my attack rolls this past Saturday near the end of the session for a single round, he said no, and made me do it, probably because of the situation I'd managed to put my character into, I'd put myself into the middle of a bunch of clumped enemies. This may sound like a very strange request, but that turn took longer than the rest of combat combined. I had to roll something like 48 attacks, and two dozen crit/fumble confirm rolls. Followed by something close to 100-150d6s. It reminded me of what the Darths the next day said. Rolling LOTS of dice can be a chore. |

My Alchemist does not roll for Diplomacy unless he's giving relationship advice. He is a proud mad bomber/matchmaker |

DM had an enemy equipped with a bag of will-damaging poison throw the shit at my monk. Myself and the Rogue were the only ones present at the time, so suddenly gimping my wis from 17 to 6(it was a whole bag of the shit when a pinch is bad enough, what do you think happened?) was a bad thing. Same shit happens to the rogue, and now we're tripping balls in the middle of a dungon. I'm rolling attempt to disbelieve on all kinds of hallucinations and trying to do what I need to to escape despite it, but eventually I failed my disbelieve roll and I find myself believing that the hall I'm in is endless. I decided enough was enough, so I stopped rolling attempts to disbelieve. |

I have a Monk (now mostly Swordsage) who has this lovely flaw that forces me to roll a will save whenever I get angered. If I fail, I have to kill/destroy the cause. At the point I was Lawful Neutral, but this Cleric that was traveling with us sent a realy importan character to his own death (pretty much). After a small talk, I was asked to roll for the will save. I stright up rolled for lethal fire boosted damage on the lady. |
