I prefer my psionic feat, "Voice of Haruhi".

I had it for a full minute before the DM looked up who Haruhi was and noped it away.

Oh, and DT, to play gotcha force, you'll need to grab a rom. Coolroms or emuparadise will have it, plus an emulator. It's expensive, due to its rarity. There are some minor issues with the game, but it is a fantastic fast paced fighting mecha game. I hope you have a good PC and a controller for it.

"Which Haruhi...?"

I've seen at least five anime girls named Haruhi.

Suzumiya would be my guess.

You mentioning rom sites makes me sad that Coolrom had to take down all their Nintendo related roms due to a C&D... RIP.

"Tell a Story: Prompting a GM to make you eat your words"

Tell a story about a time when you, as a player, said something that you immediately ended up taking back because the GM sprung the absolute worst possible thing on you with absolute perfect timing.

Or a story when you, the GM, did exactly that, and it was glorious!

"PTU"

So... I can be an idiot sometimes and will say things before thinking about what it sounds like afterward.

During a PTU game I had made a bet with a person that my Honedge could withstand a hit from her absol. Unfortunately it failed to.
Now a very important note here is that the honedge hated my guts (unfair capture or something but he started it!)

So I apologized to the honedge, after letting it have a free shot at me, and said "I'm sorry.I really thought you could take it." That ended about as well as you would think it did with my trainer in,the hospital for the rest of the session minus one asshole Honedge. Unfortunately that was the last session since the GM had to quit.

Surprised it's still called Robilar's Gambit in this kind-but-not-really DnD 3.5 game

Robilar's Gambit? Isn't that a level 12 feat? I would of thought Karmic Strike would of been used at around this level.

Who says they can't get it at earlier levels by cheating? :p
Technically, Karmic Strike requires getting hit, while Robilar's doesn't. They both come after the attack, though.

to be fair if I thought was sending him to fight luffy I would give him levels too. besides I don't think this is dnd
it might be for lower levels in this.

Apologies for the late reply to the last comic. I've been busy with work these last couple days, and as you may have noticed my posts have a tendency to be quite verbose. TL;DR, I spend too much time (sometimes multiple hours) writing and editing posts before posting them. It's probably for the best that I don't post more often.

The Monkey Island series would actually be something I might be interested in watching a Let's Play of. I have them on Steam, but I got stuck pretty quick on the first one and haven't played it since. I don't watch LPs religiously anymore (as I said, I just don't have time), but I still watch them on occasion when I'm either really bored or when I'm actually interested in the game being played.

And yes, Game Theory is pretty awesome. Not always correct (cf. Wario being 10 feet tall), but always interesting.

I feel like I should say something about the comic. But I don't remember what exactly happened in the anime, nor am I familiar enough with DnD to fully understand all the mechanics. Ah well, don't mind me, I'm not going anywhere.

Hmm, as for taking back something you said, there was one time my GM pulled a Persona-inspired scene where I faced my shadow (a manifestation of all my negative emotion, or something like that). I eventually told him, "You're not me." Yeah, I haven't played Persona...

(If you're confused, apparently the shadow actually is part of you... up until you say that it's not. Then it's able to manifest as a separate entity, and can actually be dangerous. Basically, I turned a diplomatic/psychological encounter into a boss fight. I seem to remember winning by getting lucky redirecting an attack that would have instagibbed me.)

Ugh, I have a DM that loves building monks and rogues with all kinds of crazy feats like this one to screw with you.
