I was going to add in some dialogue into the flash-back panels themselves, but... I couldn't come up with anything, so I left them blank.

"well that was a little jarring."

Did not expect Eureaka 7 all of a sudden.

I also feel like I'm missing a bit of context.

Eureka Seven was the last group Nat played with. They did not like role-playing and drove-off a new player (whom she invited I believe) as a result. That incident is why Nat left her last group. She apparently feels some guilt over it.

Does that mean the GM is Nat's friend that was driven off?

I always feel that scenes whitout words can be so much stronger then scenes full of talking...
Especially scenes about sadness and hurting feelings, like this one.
It because you feel it directly in your hart, while otherwise the brain needs to translate what is said first.

Agreed. I think the scene was best done this way.

Holy shit. GM's name is actually Gordon? The Gordon Ramsey parallel is looking less like an accident.

And I think this is the moment that GM grew averse to RPing Romantic, as we saw him being uncomfortable trying to romance Nami earlier.

Hmmm, the guy running the show having a thing for the gal playing Nami?

Now why does that sound familiar...

GM is not Gordon guys. Gordon is the guy Nat invited to the old group that included GM.

the GM is not NECESSARILY Gordon, they haven't ruled it out 100% yet and the timing of this strip hints slightly that he could be.

I think its fair to say that GM must at least have been IN the Eureka 7 group, or else there would be no flashback to it. Remember that Luke and GM are playing by themselves now (which is why Sanji is having HIS flashback). Now, GM could be Gordon, which would fit with the naming scheme DragonTrainer has going on, but GM could also be one of the asshole members of the group, remembering regretfully how he used to be a dick to a new player for doing the exact sort of roleplay he's doing right now.

Or... Nat is just secretly and silently watching it all and remembers it while seeing them enjoy theirselfs.

(meh, you're probably right)

.....So the question becomes, is Raxom breaking the 5th wall or not? I'd say fourth wall, but that would be wrong, as the fourth wall is between the audience and the characters, the fifth wall, as I'm implying is the metaphyicial wall between the writers, the audience and the characters.

I would think that a 5th wall would be the interface through which we observe the content.

And yes! I did try and edit Katsura smashing through the HTML!

Wasn't it already mentioned that GM is the player that was driven off?

It is at least hinted at pretty heavily here: http://grandline3point5.thecomicseries.com/comics/508

So GM really is gordon and he was the one remembering that?

And noooow i have a mental image of gordon as looking sympathetic, but a bit hesitant and juvenile. this is stuck in my head now. or alternatively, he was like this in the past and grew up to be more confident.
