I wonder if I'd be allowed to cast cure moderate wounds early on if I was channeling the spell through a staff of inflict light wounds. |

Just hold the staff backwards when you cast, and it's a healing staff. |

Man this reminds me of an obscure MSPA comic Legend of The Hunter that had an entire cabal of priests that worked by this logic. for the more serious cases they would fire the priest out of a cannon. |

Heh. Whenever I get around to learning Shadowrun, I plan to make a surgeon-mage who specializes in teleportation, with a side of levitation. He'll carry an icechest around, and fight by teleporting foes' kidneys into it, leaving them with a great big cavity in their back to fill up with internal bleeding. |

Come to think of it, combining a monk's unarmed strike with cure light wounds may also work. FYI, you're allowed to deliver touch-ranged spells or abilities via an unarmed strike instead of a melee-touch attack. Also... foreshadowing! (Sort of)
