As I said last strip, I think Sanji is the GMPC. I don't see Dan, Robin, and now Emily since they are from another webcomic which is apparently in canon with this webcomic along with Friendship is Dragons.
I don't know... Sanji seems too important to not be played by an individual player. Besides, he is usually the one who actually plans ahead in the series (aside from Nico Robin). Sanji as a GMPC would indicate that the GM actually cares for his group, to the point where he plays Sanji competent enough to bail them out of several dangerous situations practically all by himself.
In your claim that the GM controlling Sanji, you seem to be forgetting that the job of the GM is not usually to actively work against the players; also, Sanji's tendency to plan ahead only makes it more likely that Sanji will be a GMPC, as it will help explain how he would know how to prepare.
Hello there, DT. Spud told me you came to comicfury. I think I'm gonna join your comments section, too! Oh, I know it's a little late, but here's a little welcome gift for you!

So, I'm assuming Mihawk is the original GMPC that didn't get used under the "Zoro" name and background...
I don't want to speculate too much, partially cause if I'm right, I don't want to close off avenues of opportunity.

Your madness is weak, old man. When I left you, I was but an outpatient. Now, I am the warden.

"North-Northwest" was somehow read as "South-Southeast"...I think the players might be trolling the GM just a little about his handwriting.
