Wish spell, wish spell, turning in the fish spell~!

I have a story from a game I sat in on, though wasn't actually a player in (I was helping the DM come up with fun new challenges and things in a PM, while also basically writing a Book of Lore based on all their adventures, copy-pasted out of Skype).

So, the DM had this whole trap set up to ko at least one or two of the party, and all the players had to do was basically vote Survivor-style on who they wanted 'offed.' (The player would literally just be knocked out and then tp'd to the dungeon entrance.)

One of the players pulled a Wish spell out (It might have been the card, but I don't remember exactly. I'd have to do a lot of scrolling to find this sh*t again) and cast it, saying: "I wish we didn't have to choose who dies!"

The call goes DEAD silent, and everyone who was typing just stops. Then one of the other players whispers hoarsely, "you stupid mofo." TPK'd by a wish. Luckily, the DM decided that an actual TPK would be too much, considering that death had never been the issue with this test, it would have just made it harder on the party who continued, as well as making the loot easier to split. They just got all the XP and loot they'd gotten so far in that dungeon taken away, and dropped off around a camp fire, where they all wake up thinking "Oh, good... Only a dream..."

Got a pit fiend with class levels indebted to me after breaking the seal imprisoning it... got attacked by a demilich shortly after. Asked it to help us get away... it teleported us about 50 ft away... :/. Fricking devils.

I've got no story about whish, but I made a lesser deck of many cards once, since i found the original a bit too insane.
Our paladin went first and drew... "A pit fiend appers" ... And that's how we got our Blackguard.

The random encounter in the next room was , of course, an undead. Talk about chance screwing with the players.

I really hope the comic eventually makes it this far, and uses this/a similar explanation, because it just makes so much sense in context

So. We were losing a figt with some overpowered foe. Most of the characters were already unconscious (one was turned into stone, few other were burning) when GM decided that we could make a wish. We had to chose one of the players to say it in under one minute, after some negotiations we even got few tries. So the final version was like this: "I wish nothing was burning and ...(names of the characters) were transported to the capital city at the ground level with all their belongings still in their possesion right this instant" It turned out we created a world without fire.
