I'm hoping someone will have an answer. One Piece is kind of infamous for having even tertiary characters go on with their lives via cover stories or background imagery.
Not gonna lie, didn't remember that turtle existing. I suppose there had to be something or Robin would kinda be stuck on the boat, but certainly don't remember it. But I know for sure it's not on the moon, because only mole people and a god are there.
Turtle's name is "Banchi". He is in both the anime and the manga, but I can't verify if he was in that first scene with Nico Robin, but he is supposed to have been there. He's actually her transportation between islands. Well, he was at that point in the story, anyway.
No mention is made of him being in the Baroque Works post-Alabasta cover story. Or anyplace but his appearances in the Alabasta Arc.
I think it's shown accompanying the Baroque Works members who escaped the marines in their cover story. So it probably still works for them and that weird cafe
