"Tell a Story: Hit. Run. Hit. Run."

Sometimes your stuck in a place with someone else. Sometimes someone else is stuck with you. As you toy with them like a kitty with a catnip mouse.

Share a story about someone who was as slippery as an eel, and just couldn't be bolted down, no matter the efforts that they went to.

"Kiting is a legitimate strategy"

Hit and run is how my level 3 rogue beat the party's level 4 barbarian in pvp.

Cunning action lets me take a bonus action on my turn to dash, so if he moves and dashes at me, I can move just as far and still shoot. The fight took us outside of town, but he quickly ran out of objects to throw. He tried running back to town, only for me to begin chasing him.

""Hey! Get back here!""

Was playing 5e in a discord server, big guild-type deal with multiple DMs. Anyways, there was a PvP tournament, and my level 5 Half-Orc Ancestral Guardian Barbarian is matched against a level 6 Kensei Monk/2 War Cleric. We end up fighting up in the stands of the arena, due to the floor proper getting flooded (and having some nasty "hazards" hidden beneath). Long story short, I ended up getting kited in a big circle getting plinked at with their longbow while I chase after attempting to throw javelins. Ended about as well as you would expect.

Why were you fighting a level 8 character as a level 5?

"Honestly..."

As someone who primarily plays monks, even if he was fighting a level five monk it would end up with the same results. Monks kite like a bastard.

5E is so arithmophobic that the 3 level difference is negligible, he just has a couple extra tricks and HP on him; the dice would be dead even.

"Arithmophobic" is a funny way to spell "accessible"

With how the levels were split for ranks, 5 and 8 were in the same tier, just one at the lowest end and the other at the highest. And yeah, as someone else said, the level difference typically doesn't matter too much, considering I had taken down a level 7 with no issue.

Oh yeah I didn't even realize it but nauseated messes up Iron Heart Surge pretty bad huh...
(For those who don't know and don't care to look it up, Iron Heart Surge requires a standard action and removes most debuffs, but Nauseated makes it so you only have a move action and no standard action)

Doesn’t iron heart surgery also technically allow him to stop the effects of gravity on himself. Could explain Sanjis sky walk later on if he gets it.

Only if you use a "creative" interpretation of the wording.

The effect Iron Heart Surge ends needs to be measurable in rounds, gravity's effect is not measurable in rounds. You could reason that any length of time is measurable in rounds, and therefore it can affect anything, but... that's silly

Wait, is this comic using actual features from actual 3.5??? I thought they were all homebrew/made up for the comic!
