Ah, yes, the phrase 'I don't like to brag'. So often said immediately before being disproven.

Any stories of fellow gamers who liked to brag about their skills (or 'skills') while pretending to be humble?

Nope. Everyone I know usually starts their bragging with 'Well I love to brag so...'

Rule of thumb when talking to a 'but-person'. Everything before the 'but' is a lie.

I find that a bit of a dangerous rule for playing down any genuine praise you recieve befor the 'bad news' part of the good news/bad news.

It's not that I pretend to be, so much as I try my best to keep myself reigned in. During most of combat, I'll keep my turns short "X and X' to hit for Y and Y' damage." But when it comes time to bust a lid, and the DM gives me the spotlight, I tell everyone to settle in and enjoy the show (but still keep it quick)

I don't like people that brag like that...

They are probably also the one that say "Please call me by *insert useless title*".
In case like that I like to counter with "Sure - would you mind calling me than *insert next useless title, one grad higher*".

(I kind of collected titles without wanting to have them - I just liked to study interesting stuff while working... Now I need to sign official paperwork with them...
But they are usefull against bragging people. :D)

Nah, I think if anything, he's going to come back as another adversary for the group. Maybe Mr 1, to take another swing at Cory.

I think it's obvious that Jayden is either going to lose his cool, act badly, and be asked to leave or (more probably) storm out in disgust only to manipulate his ex into convincing the group to allow him back later with a deep-cover plant character who is really just a salty vehicle to assassinate Cory's character for spite. I'm getting palpable waves of both arrogant and petty from him.

Honestly I just want him gone already. Hits way too close to home. Manipulative, abusive, and treats others as if they were cardboard cutouts you can play with by just giving them enough treats to offset the abuse.

The second people start comparing notes on what he's done it all falls apart and ends in a giant screaming match as they don't understand why suddenly everyone hates them and all their careful manipulation that relies on people not talking to each other crumbles.

If he actually becomes a recurring figure I'll drop the comic even much as I love the insanity of the munchkin trio when they're revved up. Cut that cancer out of my life already I don't need or want to see it again, even in fictional format.

Getting the feeling that the upcoming Luffy VS Zoro is how they sweep him under the rug. I think he wants to be the center of attention, and so when PVP happens, and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM, is when shit hits the fan for him.

Luke, Cory, and Gordon will NOT care about his antics or feed the fire.

It'll be all, "Cool story, bro, bye."

As for all the people thinking he'll use Rika into getting back into the game ... eugh, I would just hope Rika learns QUICKLY from this, and drops him like a rock. Intern somewhere else, girl.

We've already seen that he'll spoof people's numbers to send fake messages. I imagine that'll come into play somehow.

So... Not sure if they want for Zoro to get more EXP or to defeat him... Any of you have a better plan that just "Throw everyone at him" like Mr.9?

Threaten the still asleep Luffy, abuse his undying loyalty, and instead of getting into close range, should have had range specialists target from afar. If set up correctly, there should be a way to overwhelm his ability to block range attacks.

Throw in some AOE traps to prevent him from getting to said range specialist, use Transponder snails as radios to keep constant position on him, so no more losing sight of him.

Finally, threaten him with a massive bomb that will blow up his ship. Even if they can't kill him, fucking over the ship would really fuck up this campaign.

How about "I challenge you to a duel. If you don't meet me, alone, at -specific location- by -time-, you will lose by forfeit".

Alternatively, he seems to rely a lot of stances, perhaps spilling oil or ball-bearings on the ground would effect his abilities?

My last thought is see if fish-man has any special/hidden weaknesses.

I figure that any weaknesses of being a Fishman are offset by the whole 'being like 1/8th' thing. Same with the being 1/8th giant. They allow the benefits of strength and such, but yet he's basically human for all the positives. Otherwise I'd argue he'd probably be SOMEWHAT weakish to water, due to a fear of drying out.

I mean, let's face it: One Piece pays lip service to genetics at best to begin with.
