"Loot Time" The sacred thing for any thief or rogue.... Any story of how while one teammate is fighting, someone else is just going around stealing everything that is not nailed?

It wasn't a time the party was fighting. Was with an awesome DM that tolerated a bit of shenanigans, and was always down for me pulling 'im aside afterwards to say, "Hey, I saw this back there, and I didn't wanna split the party, while everyone's resting, can I slip away to go investigate?", He even had a homerule that allowed me to take advantage of using a blink ring despite being too low level to technically be able to use it. Anyways, so, we found a door with a busted lock on the side we were on, there was a hidden door we were unable to find prior in the dungeon, so while everyone was resting, I checked the door out as the rogue, found it was unable to be popped by me.. so what do I do? I roll with my luck on the blink ring to risk teleporting into the wall to bypass the door. I got lucky and ended up on the other side of the door (fun fact, this moment inspired the character's progression into a blink type of burglar, lotsa teleportation type skills for the 4e rogue). Ended up in a room with a few chests. Three were easily opened, one covering a hole leading to a room with a suit of armor, the other two having miscellanious loot, and the last chest being locked. I had to break it open, only to reveal a baby drider that started following my changeling rogue around. Had another person get annoyed that I was doing it though, and complained hard enough (despite it meaning loot for the party which was my -role- in that particular game) that the DM retconned the entire sequence sadly. But it was definitely fun!

While the barbarian and fighter were throwing a keg of ale onto the enemy pirate ship so the cleric could light it on fire, me rogue was on said ship, rifling through the captain's quarters. Didn't even get anything besides some fake jewelry
