I really like how Cory has decided to just RP without prompting, seemingly for fun. My dude has certainly changed, even if it's relatively a small amount.
Very true. Big difference between "I roll to attack with my battleaxe in two-handed mode" and "I grasp my mighty axe with both hand, and hew at the enemy while shouting my battlecry!"
Well, Zaraki's whole gimmick is that he's so ridiculously overpowered in comparison to pretty much everyone to the point where he doesn't even need to use proper technique. Heck, there was only one opponent who was actually close to powerful enough to force him to use proper technique and by doing so he completely curb stomped that enemy.

Man, I thought his whole gimmick was that he's so ridiculously OP in comparison to pretty much everyone to the point where he doesn't even need to use proper technique.

These last like 3 comics feel really awesome as a build up. I'm hyped.

Granted, he's roleplaying a dude who likes combat... so it's not a huge stretch, but it's still a big step.

Still waiting on asshat to question how he’s still awake only for him to reveal that he was actually using role play for the first time

I read that with the same impact as when Zaraki Kenpachi revealed that you hit harder when holding your sword in both hands.
