Ah, yes, DM veto.

Share a story where your DM (or you as DM) headed off player stupidity/munchkinning using the DM veto.

in our most recent session I had to tell my players. "I don't care how much I am laughing at the idea I'm still not letting you convince Queen Elizabeth II to ride around in your backpack Yoda style" I have the best players.

No, carrying the wizard piggyback well fleeing the enemy does not give you partial cover.

"Double-Tasking"

Sounds like a good way to escape and attack at the same time.

Assuming the wizard can pass the Concentration checks for spellcasting while being subjected to violent motion like that of a boat on a stormy sea.

That part worked just fine. I just wasn't able to claim partial cover to add to my AC well we were running away.

I'm just imagining Gordon's internal monologue here as something like, Now listen here you little shit. You're not old man Henderson so don't even try it. Now if you want to throw something together to justify some ridiculous build, that's another matter entirely.

I have yet to see an Old Man Henderson moment in my career as a tabletop gamer - only seen one guy be hilariously distracting for a dm (doesn't quite qualify as the in character guided missile that was Henderson) and that's about it. It's rather difficult to pull that kind of stuff against dms in my experience, considering the kind of dms that warrant such things tend to wield unlimited power against unsuspecting players and handily stomp them...

Henderson level stories require a specific kind of DM, the one who is absolutely horrible, but *will* follow through with what you're doing, if only to try and create in universe punishments.
