Ah, the wonderful word 'maybe'. Many have tried it, many have failed/succeeded, to various effects.

Tell a story of when a player asked something starting with the word maybe.

We rolled up on the wreckage of a caravan and we heard noises from underneath one of the carriages. I was like, "Maybe there are survivors under there." And helped to move some debris away. It was, in fact, survivors, well as much of survivors as zombies can be. And only by the good grace of the GM not having them finish me after knocking me very unconscious was I spared from character death on that occasion, but it was a near thing.
