The answer is obviously not enough.

But, there's something that you're missing my green texted friend.

That her plan is possible by both rules. The rules of the Game, and the Rule of Cool.

Any story that the players give a idea to the GM about how to make it more hard?

I got an...unintentional version of that.

I dm for my family, which should be a red flag for them, but forgive them, they know not of what unspeakable evils they've unleashed.

Now, I gave them standard combat, straight from the book they were running, when they say it's kinda boring.

So....I start getting Creative.

That’s not advice. That’s taunting the DM. Aka a very painful method of suicide

So, I'm running out of that Mines of Phandelver book, the one that comes with the starter set.

They get to a cave, and long story short, set off an explosion. Now, I mention how it booms and echoes, and then roll behind the screen, a percentile to see how lucky they were.

My players, split up in the room they are in, and I roll below 10 on that percentile for their luck.

So, every monster in that cave goes towards them, as they were in the central area, with the sole exception of the main boss.
