Remember, folks. This webcomic takes place in a different universe. ^_^

If they don't talk about the Clown Prince, I will have to burn their house down.

The Crystal GMs have made mention of Batman and the other heroes, but I think they were playing games based off of those characters who actually did exist in their universe.

Perhaps the animated series never got off the ground here? No Bruce Timm means no Joker Hamill.

I don't want to believe there's a universe without the Mark Hamill Joker......

It wouldn't be a universe worth living in.

a earlier page did say that TaS batman was Phoebe's take on Batman in a campaign. So they don't have Batman TAS in their verse.
And if we assume that D&D Aangvanced is in the same 'verse (don't know if it as been confirmed since i haven't read the others comics), then this mean no hamill Firelord Ozai either.

This raise the question of why they choose hamill voice specifically for the clown bad guy, since his association with clown bad guys come from the joker.

Perhaps it was due to his run as the Trickster on the Flash (the original one, not the CW one)? That might actually have been how he got his Joker role as well.

... Why is there no Star Wars? Or even Batman?

No Star Wars, at least, because in this webcomic universe the Star Wars story is being made up by the roleplaying crew of Darths and Droids.

Funilly enough, i'm not sure there was any confirmation on Darth&Droid part that they're on the shared universe.

Going to be blunt:

A running gag necessary for Darths & Droids is really getting annoying when ported over to other screen cap comics. -_-

Especially since folks are trying to make a "shared universe" over a bunch of screen cap comics. Each one added already means another aspect of popular culture is missing in the fictional world. Something else for not only the authors but the readers to keep track of, and even though I'm someone who loves minutiae, it is getting tedious. >.>

You and me both.

I kinda wish I had access to a desktop computer. I'd do that South Park screen cap comic. The one where it's intended to be playing in a world as seen through the eyes of four small, innocent children, but the players are all assholes.

Or alternatively,I could have the GM be an abused girl going through puberty, and the players are all characters from Hamtaro, where they all want to see the world like humans and everything gets super fucked up because she's fucked in the head, and then it traumatizes the hamhams.

That being said Otaku, this comic has already had crossovers with Darths & Droids, so said running gag that's necessary for that webcomic is also necessary for this one. That ship sailed years ago at this point, so there was no avoiding this.

I legit forgot about the crossover. Edit: Actually, if it was a side project, I may never have seen it. Does anyone have a link?

More importantly, Raxon has me wanting a setting where Naruto, Fairy Tail, etc. so that Black Clover is seen as original and groundbreaking. XD

In the archives of this strip. I can't remember if there was one in the Darths & Droids archives, and that's a longer search.
Also, the MLP D&D webcomic ALSO had a crossover, so it's in the same shared universe by default simply because of crossovers.
And this is kinda where that massive shared universe comes from, is these strips do tend to get a lot of crossover guest strips that are at least semi-canon if not explicitly canon (which has basically be shown here with the Darths and Droids crossover and the same gag being needed)

Thanks, Pibald.

The weird thing is... I did read that one. Keeping the real continuity of the series this stuff is all based on and the continuity of the strips straight has become too much for me, I guess. XD

The only other screen cap comics like this I read are Darths & Droids and Defenders of the Tabletop. I range from simply not caring about the others to actively avoiding them because I don't care for the series from which they originate.

Maybe it is just because I'm an oddball and not the target audience. I love One Piece. I love RPG's... just much less so D&D. Other than Darths & Droids, I don't think I read any of the other strips with which this one has crossed over... and if those other strips crossover with other strips, does that mean those crossovers are also canon?

Anyway, sorry if I do sound like a buzzkill. If this is thrilling for everyone else, then I get that it really is just me. With as complex as it is all getting, however... I wonder if I really am alone. I mean, besides Raxon, who has already spoken up.

Think i have said it on a earlier page, so i might sound like i keep repeating myself, but i don't read most of the others comics either. nothing against them, of course, but i usually take interest in a parody of something because i'm a big fan of this thing to begin with. I started this comics because i was interested in OP related stuffs. Also reading Darth & Droid curently, not a die-hard Star Wars fan like some, but i like Star wars as much as the next guy, so i decided to give it a try. might try some of the others in the future, like the Code Lyoko or Naruto ones.
As for the continuity, i'm not lost for the moment, i might be if they start introducing major elements from others Comic, it might start being the case.

Well, might be this one. since there's a naruto screencap comics, a One Piece one, i think there was a FT one somewhere, but it have been discontinued or put on hiatus (not sure about this).
Also, whithout the rise to prominence of One Piece in the late 90's/early 2000's, Shonen Jump probably never had the boom of "Young determined hero with a great goal" of the 2000 (though the pokemon anime might have launched the trend alone), meaning that the norm for action Shonen protagonist remained the "Muscular guy using supernatural martial arts" à la Fist of the north Star, the earlier part of Jojo, or Dragon Ball Z until the 10's.

I fear thinking about it too much least this will give me a headache. like...you raise a valid point here, the absence of OP must have caused the face of Shonen Jump to be rather different. And with it, the perception of Manga and Anime as a whole. maybe some Jump series that have been cancelled actually got to run longer in their world whhithout the conccurence of OP or Naruto.
And is Oda still a mangaka? if yes, does it mean that one of his others One shot have been made into a serie instead of OP?

Also, if Spider-Man: The Animated Series still exists, Mark Hamill voiced the Hobgoblin.
