Now where’s the fun in that? The Paladin would probably just want to smite the devil you found, but contracts are so much more useful. And someone might try to stop your communist revolution before it gets off the ground. Plus sometimes you just have to let the reckless bard run headfirst into a trap you saw, just so they learn. Setting up intrigue and side plots only certain players even know about is both hilarious and great for coming up with plot ideas.

nah, of course when it is something that you have a interest in keeping for yourself, you do so. but when it's the kind of crucial information that could turn a easy win in a hard one, or turn a hard one in a potential tpk, you hope the one who got the info find a way to comunicate it quickly.
