Gotta go fast!
I recognize super rabbit from Dragonball Super and obviously Baby from Baby Driver, but I'm unfamiliar with the kid in the middle... ok, quick Google search later and his name is Nice from Hamatora.

"Story Time - Crazy Ideas and Game Mechanics"

Tell a story about a time during a campaign that you had some complex, weird, or just ridiculous plan to solve something, and had to engage in the most sacred of table top past times.

arguing with the DM over game mechanics.

gotta be the time I had accidentally started a forest fire and my character turned into a dragon to use the downdraft from their new wings to put it out. Turns out you can use a wingbeat of giant dragon against burning land in more than just yugioh

Remember how i played a ranger, who was raised by bears but thought they were elves? Naturally we ran into them and I tried to make a diplomacy check. The DM took some convincing....

Actually? Better story. During my first game's first battle, i was playing a bard. looking through my spell list to combat a pair of manticores. I had a few options, but none were so attracive to me as 'summon instrument'.

"What instrument are you summoning?"

"Pipe organ"

I know NOW that you specifically cannot summon that, but neither of us knew it at the time. the main argument was that i couldn;t lift it or summon it over my opponent's head, only in my hands or at my feet. I pointed out i wanted it at my feet, as a pipe organ males GREAT cover.

Which lead to a second moment.

"Can i cast dancing lights to blind them?"
"Try it and see if works"
"Can i also sin a song of courage?"
"no, Song of courage is a full turn-action and dancing lights requires a hand-sign and spoken phrase"
"What if i work it into the lyrics?"
Blinding them failed, but i got away with spellsong dual-casting. The DM knew where i was going and even provided the lyrics

So, speaking of Luke and speed, I got bored and worked out how fast luffy is based on... no spoliers, but a great white shark from after the time skip.

You all know which one.

Now going by the cumulative 2x2x2 logic in play, assuming nothing wore off and by counting the 'sacred treasures' explicitly in play (Four from right before, then i aused and counted about 41 with 10 dropped, so i rounded down to 30) then taking the normal speed of a great white and adding the doubled speed his kind are supposed to get in water, luffy can be said to respond to and match objects moving at about 854,004,425,189 mph, or 1274 times the speed of light. I posted my math in greater detail on a youtube video of the fight in question.

So I went to look up the Speed Force guide... and couldn't find it. What a shame.

So Gear 2nd is Luke using the Speed Formula and I am guessing Geard 3rd is Luke playing around with the size rules. I wonder what gear 4th will be, besides a very long time from now?

so what are you using

"I've been keeping track of all the transformations I've been using, and had chopper tall me about some of the ones he's seen, and based on what'd we've cleared so far luffy can activate almost any of them"

"so what? biofeedback? speed force? size modifiers? the ebon-hulk?"

"yes."

".... please don;t tell me"
"all of them"
"there is no way donflamingo will let you activate the all"
"well if i start with speed force I can gain some additional instants movements, and my existing instant movements become free actions, so i can get haki right away. plus, with biofeedback, i can use the gear activations sequentially from the same trigger, with gear second making them into half-actions, so i'd only need one turn. then....."

serisouly though, remember me saying i worked out how fast luffy was? just going by how much it would take to lift the plates like he did (assuming limestone, due to lifting what appears to be a good chunk of the ground and the composition of the planet's surface layers) and ignoring donflamingo's already incredible shields, AND ignoring all the other damage caused, (and i used the anime radius of the plate... but not thickness. couldn't get a good shot of it so i used the manga thickness), the punch comes out to 21 megatons, minimum.

It has just now occured to me how appropriate it is that Luke is a master of this formula given that his first (or at least one of his earliest) characters was the Flash.
