And here we see how the character of Usopp was killed off after ignoring basically every veiled warning the GM was giving him, leading to the creation of a new sniper-class character, Sogeking, who would join the Strawhats at Reverse Mountain and journey with them forevermore.

"Accidental Glove Slap"

Story time: tell a story of a time you unintentionally got into a duel with a character WAAAY out of your league.

"not so much a duel as TPK"

Once got TPKed in our first session because we refused to leave the necromancer we were heavily warned not to fight by the GM alone. We regret nothing.

it was long ago so i don't remember why, but i wanted to duel someone, i find him, ask around if that's him and provoke him to a swordfight. except it was'nt the ghuy i was looking for, it was his big brother who was much stronger. (and telling him, "sorry, that was a mistake, the one i'm trying to get is your little bro" would have not made things better.
i got out of it alive only because the GM did a reall bad roll. plot-wise, we agreed that the guy was laughing to hard at me to fight properly.

Again, not so much a duel as a TPK, but during my first session with a group i didn't really get the game, so when we left i set a vampire's house on fire. unfortunately it was a vampire TOWN, and i'd just let them all know we were here. I was playing a shape-shifting ghost (unbodied beguiler) and tried to trick them into running to defend a side of town we weren't going for, but accidentally told them were we were going, didn;t know they could see far enough to immediately know there was no invading army, and wound up with all of them rushing into the tower we were trying to raid. it got so bad we had to use mass smite evil just to get through the door..... and half the party was evil. this was a months long campaign for them

Our archmillitant once got into an honor duel with a Blood Ravens Honor Guard. Terminator armor, wrist mounted storm bolters, and he’s a guy expected to be able to keep up with Gabriel “Backflipping Terminator” Angelos. Poor bastard went down in one punch when he realized he couldn’t roll Dodge in terminator armor and our power fist packing, only-technically-not-an-Eversor of an Archmillitant just beat him in initiative

Daddy the Father. That has to be one of the stupidest names in the entire genre, and that's saying something.

i'd say that the fact that it's in english. it make it redundant. if the nickname is in a another language, well it's still redundant but you don't particularly read it. they probably did'nt consider how it would sound once translated in english when they decided to literraly name a character "Daddy"

It works better when the foreign name is in a made-up language that nobody actually speaks as their native. See: Legolas Greenleaf, or as some call him; Greenleaf Greenleaf.
