...How much you want to bet that Phil's encounter is spec'd exactly for phil's character? Either just above his level, or just at his level to force him to learn the game.
Knowing what's coming up, this is probably a skills based challenge to make sure he knows the extents of his build. I've been waiting for this one to come up. Interested to see how they pull it off.
Always interesting to see what's different from what I read in the manga. I never watched the anime so all the filler episodes/movies are BRAND NEW for me, and it's always fun to see how it turns out.
Same for me, I started watching the anime after I already caught up with the manga, so I just skipped the fillers.
It's great to have some parts of the comic where I have no idea about what will happen.
That's right, the Anime went back to Oda to extrapolate on the little character moments he put in the manga. Wasn't, like, the entire Island of Giants and Nami-in-Skypeia bit anime-only?
the island with the dinosaurs and the two giant viking was in the manga.
The fun part about this part with Ussop is that Oda planned to put it in the manga, but decided to skip it so that the crew could reach Grand line in chapter 100.
Same for me. it always feel like the situation is going to turn out badly, plus it's rather unnerving when you try to settle things peacefully but the npc is just hermetic to it.

Ok, cool. Glad DM was at least sorta chill.

I think i hate failing a diplomacy roll even more than failing a roll during a battle.

Right? And ironically, it makes me even more likely to think, 'Oh, this is going to hurt.'
