That's some real roleplaying sh*t right there. Don't usually get people who risk their lives for a little bit of RP

No? It's really common in our group. We have that guy who plays a Varg (basically a race of giant bipedal wolves) trader, who is the strongest character in our group but is adamantly refusing to wear any piece of clothing with the word "armour" in it because "I'm a trader". So far he almost died twice because of that, and we're in the first campaign with that group.
Last session he threw himself in front of the crossbowbolt of our groups Elf mercenary who wanted to take out the agitator of an angry mob and was seriously injured in the process.
Another member of our group is a fanatical follower of the god of war and got into a public argument with said agitator (a while before the mob got aggressive) but he probably would have been in serious trouble if the Varg hadn't diffused the situation with diplomacy.
Finally there's me, the squishy Gnome mage who refuses to take advantage of some stupid "fate point" part of the game system that lets you fudge your rolls three times per play session. Nearly died once because of that - after we beat the eveings big bad and were escaping his crumbling cavern. Mages are notoriously bad at acrobatics...

Wait.... you're telling us a person playing a Varg didn't don armor and become a full fledged unstoppable murder-hobo?

....I am impressed.

""Do it for the RP!""

So, we just finished fighting an Aboleth. Low on hearts, low on everything, and suddenly, in a swirling, vortex-like portal in the middle of the Aboleth's lair, I see my dead fiance. Now, I could have just stood there in shocked awe, watching as she walks into the hellish-looking portal and disappearing, but I roll a Will-save, completely of my own accord.

I fail. Hard. So now I'm tripping over myself, slack-jawed and eyes wide, towards the woman who I'd loved, and killed when she was tasked with assassinating my client. Smirking at me, she steps through the portal, and I'm only steps behind her, with my current wife (an NPC along for the ride) on my heels, trying to get my attention.

Then there's the time where a character I was playing as slapped the literal Goddess of Shapeshifters, and thus created an entirely new species of tree-people, since she was a hardcore Druid and overrode what should have been a Clockwork on the Reincarnation Table.

My group has loads of moments like this.

"Who are you and where is Luke?!"

I think DM is probably having a bit of a weird-out due to how much the group has changed. Luke actually roleplaying and doing it well, rather than murder-hoboing it up is probably a real shock to her system.

And given what happens in Lougetown with Zoro, Corey is about to join in on it as well I think.

"Luke's stretching his wings."

Well, Gordon's past included him joining a group that bullied him for the RP aspect, so it's highly likely he's never done an RP-heavy game before, and now that Nat's thrown in a bunch of RP stuff, Luke and Corey, who've always played to be the best murder-hobos around, are now finding out that the "RP" in the term "RPG" is actually not that bad, and in fact more applicable than they'd at first thought.

Well, Luke have always been less murder-hobo than Cory. since he care more about what is fun or funny, once he realise that Roleplaying can be fun, and in adition help him win the fight, he do it.
